藤 Fuji (Wisteria) Kaga Yubinuki x Kokeshi
In hanafuda (flower playing cards used in East Asia and Hawaii), the month of April is represented by wisteria, one of my favorite flowers. This kokeshi features both a literal depiction of wisteria in a similar style to the cards, as well as a more abstract yubinuki obi designed to evoke the flowers in full bloom.
