Part of a series of yubinuki that play with light refraction, this yubinuki mirrors the way I perceive white light when I look directly at it: it appears edged or haloed in rainbows, an effect I have long sought to replicate in different mediums. Each of the six woven sections is edged with a different color from the visible spectrum from red to violet, excepting indigo, which instead colors the fabric on the inside of the ring.

Yubinuki are designed to be worn between the top two joints of the index or middle finger when used as thimbles. If you intend to wear it as a ring, it is a size 8. Chains or custom kumihimo cords are available as an add-on if you would like to wear it as a necklace.

While yubinuki are tougher than they look, please remember that the core of the ring is cardstock and batting, not metal, and take care not to toss it in a bag where it may be crushed out of shape. For transport, make sure it is protected by a box or placed around a ring cushion to help it hold its shape.
